Fisher Blade & Hoe is a family-owned excavation company serving the Portland metro area. We started with one machine and a commitment to doing the job right — and that hasn't changed.
Fisher Blade & Hoe was founded in 1985 by Loren Fisher and Tom Fisher who started as a tractor service business and grew into a full blown excavation business. What started as a two-man operation with a single tractor has grown into a trusted name across Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties.
We built this business the old-fashioned way: by showing up on time, doing quality work, and treating every client's property like it was our own. Word spread. Repeat customers turned into referrals. Referrals turned into a reputation.
Today we run a modern fleet of well-maintained bobcat and kubota equipment and a small, experienced crew. We're not the biggest excavation company in Oregon — and that's intentional. We stay focused so we can stay accountable. Every project gets our full attention.
We say what we'll do and we do what we say. Honest estimates, straight talk, and no surprises on the invoice.
Excavation is a skilled trade. We take pride in precision grading, clean cuts, and work that holds up over time.
We show up. On the day we said, at the time we said. In this industry, that alone sets us apart.
If something isn't right, we make it right. No excuses, no runaround — just a commitment to getting it done properly.
Owner & Operator
"I continue this company because my grandfather started it, and my uncle continued it, and now I am the third generation excavation business owner that takes on any job worth doing. And I ask myself, what would my grandfather do in this situation? Would I be proud to put my name on this? If the answer is yes, we're done. If not, we keep working. That's the standard I hold myself and my crew to, and that's what my grandfather Loren Fisher taught me."
